Division (The Divided Kingdom)

• I will teach about how God - wanting to be a unified nation’s King - was rejected, which led to human kings, resulting in corruption, resulting in division, resulting in confusion, resulting in catastrophe. And I will compare that to Christ’s call for unity in the church, and how and why division still happens today.

So many avenues to explore when speaking about division…

• Our country is certainly divided.
• Our world (Olympic opening) is certainly divided.
• But closer to home, and closer to what you and I can begin to do about it, is division in the church and division in relationships. If we don’t start there, we’re doomed. And I can’t preach on division in all 4 of those areas in one Sunday…
