Our Statement of Faith

Neighborhood Church is not affiliated with any denomination or church planting network. Our lead pastor, Kyle Coffin, is licensed and ordained with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Pastor Kyle and the elder team began a sermon series titled “Foundations” Sunday, September 8, 2019, highlighting our statement of faith over 15 teachings.  With each statement below, you can download a PDF of the sermon notes used to teach that statement.

Our Values

Love God

We love God through Biblical teaching and expressive worship in our Sunday gatherings and our home groups.

Love one another

We love one another by “not neglecting to meet with, pray for and serve one another” on Sundays and in home groups during the week to encourage one another and build each other up. We make constant, loving efforts to “fan into flame” the gifts God has given each of us by His Holy Spirit through active training by our pastoral staff that we may serve God and one another. (Hebrews 10:25; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; 2 Timothy 1:6)

Love our neighbors

Our love for God is made manifest by loving people and following His command to love our neighbors (Mark 12:31). Because we love our community, we partner with ministries like 4Tucson, J17 Ministries, the Tucson Neighborhood Food Pantry, and Royal Family Kids.  In addition we support  5 foreign missionaries connected to our local body in various ways. We are intentional church-planters, raising up pastors and leaders from within the body of Christ at Neighborhood Churches; training them in preaching and shepherding; laying hands on them; ordaining them; and sending them out to other neighborhoods all over Tucson.

Pastors, Elders, and Staff

Neighborhood Church is led by Church Elders who are called by God to be overseers and shepherds (Ephesians 4:11-12, 1 Pet 5:2) and have been found to demonstrate the required character (1 Timothy 3:1–7 & Titus 1:5–9). Our Elders equip and encourage men and women for the work of ministry and for building up the body of Christ. We prayerfully seek unanimity in all matters of direction and leadership, serving our Lord Jesus Christ.
