Chapter 5 is most famous for v22-33, the teaching on how husbands and wives are a model to the world about the love between Christ and His Bride, the Church.  But before we get there, we have 21 verses where Paul DIRECTLY addresses the Ephesian’s accepted culture of sexual impurity - specifically what took place in the Temple of Artemis, the Greek Mythology goddess of fertility, among other things. Paul uses these 21 verses to transition into GOD’s teaching on what True Love is in the confines of a man and a woman, and the beautiful design of the two becoming one flesh.
