I mentioned earlier that I wanted to give you some ways to make verse 8 of our text in Philippians real. Some of the lessons I learned are here. 

• Don’t go into danger (the world) alone….The Holy Spirit is our harbormaster.

• Ships take on a harbormaster when entering port….an expert in the navigation of that particular port.

• The harbormaster for the believer is the Holy Spirit. He enters our lives at the moment of salvation and seeks to control our minds, wills, and emotions for the glory of the Father.
