What Spiritual Headship IS: In a nutshell, it is what a spiritual shepherd/overseer is.

• • Jesus is the good shepherd. 

• And he described his oversight of the church using shepherding terms. 

• Ephesians 4:11 uses “pastor” in place of what is otherwise a Greek word always translated shepherd.
  • IOW, the two terms (pastor and shepherd) mean the same thing.
  • Today, we’ve turned “pastor” into a title. A leader of a local church.
  • In the same way, I believe husbands and fathers are to understand they hold the title of “pastor” of their flock - their immediate family.
