The Holy Spirit Throughout History #21: "The Spirit of Vision" -- Daniel
In Daniel, the Holy Spirit is The Spirit of Vision. Here’s why:
- While the word Spirit is found only in the first half of the book - the Prophetic half of the book is filled with the term Vision.
-
- Hebrew word: châzôwn, khaw-zone'
- a sight (mentally), i.e. a dream, revelation, or oracle:—vision.
- 79 times in the bible.
- Nearly half are in Ezekiel and Daniel
- In my mind….this is very much what the Spirit is doing in the book of Daniel.
- Hebrew word: châzôwn, khaw-zone'
- Daniel 7:2 (KJV) Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
- Daniel 8:2 (KJV) And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.
- I mentioned in opening, the connection between Daniel and NT prophecy.
- In terms of Vision - Chapter 9 of Daniel is really a key to understanding history until now and His Story of what will come:
