The Spirit of… TRUTH!

 John 16:13:

• • “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.”
    • 9) He will guide believers into all truth
      • Remember, this is a conversation between Jesus and his disciples.
        • The Spirit does not guide unbelievers into “all” truth.
        • The Spirit guides unbelievers to JESUS, and upon receiving HIM, they will be guided into all truth.
      • Every truthful thing we know is because the Holy Spirit has shown us.
      • Does that not change the way you consider how knowledge comes?
        • Knowing that ALL knowledge comes to believers through the Spirit, does that not change how you study? How you watch and learn? How you listen to others? How you discern right from wrong?

• Build the habit of talking WITH the Spirit of God as you grow in maturity in Christ.

• • • • • Give the Spirit your mind. Your spirit. Say “Have your way with me” habitually.
