Paul models here a relationship with Jesus that is extremely deep.

• It is based on love. Unconditional love.
• It is based on The Gospel. That Jesus died and rose again and that all who believe will be saved from death and live eternally with God.
• It is based on surrender. Paul’s surrender of Himself to Jesus.
• And it is because Paul KNEW he was perfectly loved, called, and purposed, that the Spirit of God could REQUIRE of him to go directly into hardship and even death, for the glory of God.
